The first time a company offers its shares to the general public.
Initial Public Offering is the cheapest way to enter the market. Usually, 1 kitta costs Rs. 100 in Nepal. It is often oversubscribed, so shares are distributed via a lucky draw (lottery). It's the 'lottery ticket to ownership' – cheap entry, big dreams, and prayers that your number gets called!

यो शेयर बजार पस्ने सबैभन्दा सस्तो र सजिलो तरिका हो। नेपालमा प्रायः १०० रुपैयाँमा १ कित्ता शेयर पाइन्छ। धेरैले आवेदन दिने भएकोले चिठ्ठा प्रणालीबाट शेयर बाँडिन्छ। यो 'मालिकत्वको लटरी टिकट' हो – सस्तो प्रवेश, ठूला सपना, र तपाईंको नम्बर पर्छ कि भनेर प्रार्थना!
