A part-owner of a company. If you own even 10 kitta of a bank, you are its shareholder.
Being a shareholder gives you rights like receiving dividends, voting in the AGM, and getting a share of the company's assets if it closes. You're a mini-owner – proud until the dividend is tiny and the AGM snacks run out!

कम्पनीको आंशिक मालिक। यदि तपाईंसँग कुनै बैंकको १० कित्ता मात्र शेयर छ भने पनि तपाईं त्यसको मालिक हुनुहुन्छ।
शेयरधनी हुनुको अर्थ तपाईंले कम्पनीको लाभांश पाउने, साधारण सभामा भोट हाल्ने र कम्पनीको उन्नतिबाट फाइदा लिने अधिकार पाउनु हो। तपाईं मिनी मालिक हुनुहुन्छ – लाभांश थोरै र AGM को खाना सकिएपछि मात्र गर्व लाग्छ!
