An order placed to sell a share when it reaches a certain price to prevent further losses.
Stop Loss is a crucial tool for risk management. If you buy a share at Rs. 500 and don't want to lose more than 10%, you can set a Stop Loss at Rs. 450. It's your financial 'eject button' – because watching a stock freefall is more painful than missing the last bus home!
