Treasury Bill

A short-term debt instrument issued by the government to raise money.

In Nepal, NRB issues Treasury Bills on behalf of the government for 28, 91, 182, or 364 days. You can buy them through a primary or secondary market to earn fixed interest safely. It's the 'government's short-term IOU' – super safe, like lending to your most reliable (and biggest) borrower!

ट्रेजरी बिल (Treasury Bill)

सरकारलाई दिइने अल्पकालीन ऋण।

राष्ट्र बैंकले सरकारको लागि उठाउने अल्पकालीन ऋण नै ट्रेजरी बिल हो। यो सबैभन्दा सुरक्षित लगानी मानिन्छ। यो सरकारको 'अल्पकालीन IOU' हो – अत्यन्त सुरक्षित, तपाईंको सबैभन्दा विश्वसनीय (र ठूलो) ऋणी लाई ऋण दिनु जस्तो!
