# WACC Calculator

Add each lot you hold (shares bought on NEPSE, IPO, right and bonus shares) to get the weighted average cost per share that capital gains tax is worked out from.

## How WACC is worked out

- A NEPSE buy costs its price plus broker commission, the SEBON fee and the Rs 25 DP charge.
- IPO, right and bonus shares cost the price entered, Rs 100 face value by default; use the cost MeroShare shows if it differs.
- WACC = total cost of every lot ÷ total units.

Example: 100 shares bought at Rs 500 and 10 bonus shares give 110 units costing Rs 51,212.50, a WACC of Rs 465.57.
